Market Strategy OverviewBazookaGoal is now in a position to take on the US market and we want to go in strong. We have established a warehouse and retail partner in Texas named Soccer Innovations, and the first container will land there November 15th. This also includes the AirPitches for 3v3 USA. We also ship LCL directly to LA port with SKUs that are more urgent and in danger of selling out. This include BGO1 and BGXXL1.
In January, we will attend the annual Soccer Convention together with Soccer Innovations (sharing booth). This is a great opportunity to network with 3v3 USA guys and also potential Parklife buyers in the industry.
In Europe, we are going full steam ahead in Germany with some bigger orders and great relationships with FAs and Proclubs. We believe the sales will continue to rise here and we are close to a very big one which will be decided next week.
In the UK, our sales are increasing well this year, so far approx. £140000 in 2021 to £230000 in 2022. This is much due to our retail sales and it is proof that our decision to cut out our distributor was the right one. We also have much better control of the market and prices than before.
Other markets are under development, including France and Denmark. We have a small break through in the latter and I believe Karim will soon prove his worth in France.
Online Marketing Proposal USAWe have been in a discussion with Hawke Media in California about taking on our online marketing in the US. This agency is expensive, but is very likely to accelerate our online sales and presence over there.
See proposal here.Website strategyThere has been a lot of discussion within our Greek and int. team about unified vs. localized web shop. It includes advice from DOPE agency (Yannis) and Robert Kuhnel (our Ninox CRM specialist).
Much of the discussion is around the complexity of the Magento software which makes it hard for everyone to manage in each country. It has also more expensive add-ons we are paying for. However, it is working and getting sales, and Stergios makes a good case for us to continue with it.
The idea that BazookaGoal should aim for a local online presence in each major country is good, but it relies on having a dedicated person per market to handle the web shop. It will also complicate the automation process. We might go for this only in France and Germany, and keep the Magento for other countries.
Without going into details, I have decided that we will test a localized web shop in France which Karim is setting up to prove his case (Wordpress, copy of our current website, www.bazookagoal.fr). There will be no disruption to our current web shop which will run as normal.
We might also look at setting up a Shopify web shop for the US market as another test. This is the most established e-shop system over there and would make it easier to promote us. We can get away with the low cost one for this market and it can be built by me.
Organization & PeopleWe have employed Alina as full time logistics manager and she is doing a fantastic job. Fully autonomous already and dealing with very complex China PO planning, follow up and shipments to EU, USA, Canada, and Int.
We have had Alexia onboard part time for Ieva who is on child leave and she has performed very well. When Ieva is back, we aim to keep Alexia as part time and for the two of them to work together as a online sales management and customer service team.
We have employed a part time assistant to Hardy (two hours per day) to help him take care of the day to day tasks.
We have a new consultant in Spain who is helping us crack the regional FAs and proclub market there. It is a 3 months trial and we will evaluate end of next month.
